Local Amenities

Shopping

There is a small shop on the adjacent caravan and camping shop which our guests are welcome to use. The Village of Galmpton, which is within walking distance has a village shop, a post office and a butcher. Further afield there is a Sainsbury's, Lidl, Aldi ASDA and Morrisons all on the A3022 in Paignton. The town of Brixham has a supermarket, greengrocers, butchers and bakery. Fresh Fish is available from outlets on the new fish dock. On the outskirts of Torquay there is the Willows Retail Park with Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury's and other high street names. For organic produce the Occombe Farm at Preston is well worth a visit. There is also a well stocked farm shop at Churston selling vegetables meat and delicatessen.

Electric Vehicles

At the present time there are no facilities for charging Electric vehicles on the site. Usage of the bungalow 13amp sockets for charging vehicles is not permitted because of the risk of overloading the electrical circuits creating a fire hazard.

Potential guests with electric vehicles will need to acertain that they can obtain access to charging away from the site.

Restaurants

The area is well served with restaurants to suit all tastes. There are two pub restaurants within walking distance, The Manor Inn in Galmpton and the Railway Inn at Churston. Further afield Dartmouth is well worth a visit either by car or by train from Paignton. Brixham (the Fish Town of sky TV fame) has many good fish restaurants featuring fresh fish from the Brixham Market.

Nearest Beaches

There are a variety of safe beaches in the surrounding area, the nearest being Broadsands and Goodrington. The other side of Dartmouth is the award winning Blackpool Sands, well worth a visit.
